In 2006 I got my CDL from Swift and drove for 1 year. I was 21 years old. In the first 6 weeks, I had 2 minor incidents and then a 3rd one about 11 months later. So because I had 3 within 1 year, I was terminated. The third one happened literally one day too soon.I tried to get hired somewhere else for several months with no luck. So I gave up and went to work in restaurants.

I'm 39 now and I am confident I will do a better job and avoid any incidents. I have zero tickets/accidents on my license. I really want to train at Wilson Logistics and give this another try. Has enough time passed to wipe the slate clean and get a fresh start?

Wilson is more strict than Swift.
But, yes you can get back into trucking.
Do you still have a cdl?
    Where is your location?

Apply at Wilson if that's your first choice.
Then, if your application isn't accepted try Stevens Transport.
Stevens will pay for cdl school also.

What made you zero in on Wilson Logistics?

What is your zip code in VA?

Wilson is pretty much the only option for me because it's the only one I can find with free training AND allows 2 dogs. The pet policy has made finding a company a lot more difficult. Thanks for your help.

    CAUTION:

You may well have to make alternate arrangements for your pets during the ENTIRE training phase. CHECK WITH WILSON ON THAT.

Oh yes definitely, I am having my parents watch them for up to 5 months, cuz Wilson says after the ~3 months of training you have to team drive with another recent grad for 6-8 weeks.

There is little chance your pets can be with you during training. Some companies won't allows pets/riders/etc until after your first 90 days solo IF YOU HAVE NO INCIDENTS during the 90 days.
