I had a load of creme refused last week, my first ever in my glamourous 6 months of service.
The wash tag had the license plate number on it not the permit or trailer number on it.
The last digit on the license plate was a 9. The receiver said it looked like a 5. I had seen the same penmanship on a previous wash tag a week earlier for a 3 digit trailer number.
I assured the receiver it was a 9. After 3 hours of investigation I hauled it 350 miles to the dairy who last washed the tank so they could buy it.
Super nice driveer I was BSing there with said he has delivered 5 loads there and 3 were refused so don't feel bad being i was breaking my Cherry there.
A new one to me, a receiver refusing to sign the BOL

When I drop a loaded trailer that's sealed, the receiver signs to indicate that the trailer arrived with the seal intact, and that the seal number matches the number on the BOL. Any OS&D is handled later.

“SHIPPER LOAD AND COUNT”.Dominion Transportation Thanks this. -
I've done a lot of loads where the receivers will unload and write, "subject to count" on the BOL and cut me loose.
