I don't know why I can't directly respond to gentleroger but this is a response to him. So, to clarify the situation I've never had any critical events or close following just the two pull through accidents. My concern is that the nit picking with the driver facing cameras combined with alerts about every little thing like swerving due to wind causing lane departures or touching GPS, sneezing, picking my honker etc. etc. etc. could add up to termination even though considered normal driving on any other planet. As for more backing practice they gave me one hour with a big wig in CT. and she said I did great and she's gotta get home cause her wife cooked dinner. I didn't feel great and I had a live load that needed to continue advancement in the morning. That one hour practice was before my second accident the scuff. The first one I understand it going on my record. As far as a company worried about buffing it out I never saw a single SNI owned trailer that wasn't beat to crap. In fact the one I was towing during the scuff accident was actually marked with sharpie and spray painted arrows pointing at existing damage. Had it been another companiy's or O/O trailer I'd 1,000,000% expect to report it. But my own company at my OC with damage I'd pay for out of my check to just go and put it on my record for 7 years instead is petty IMO. It seems in this industry that EVERYBODY hits (not obliterates) or scratches things as a rookie but they never did....EVER. Which one is it? Before posting here if I were to go back I had already decided to pay for a refresher and focus on backing even if SNI didn't require a refresher, which I'm sure they do. If I go back I'm thinking of paying for one AND taking the required SNI if they pay for one. I just needed more time and didn't get it before SHTF for me. Also, 3 days 8 hours per of driving OTR with a trainer is a joke. What's crazy to me is that student pilots after solo can go rent a aircraft and practice any #### time they want to. Trucking says nope can't practice unless you're enrolled in a class for lots of money or you're a new hire.Thank you for replying to me as I need as much input as possible. :) I meant this in reply to gentleroger don't know if it posted to him?

I agree that they're on pointand know their stuff but time is not on any of our side if you need extra like I did and do.

Yeah, the way you wrote it made it seem like you'd been getting repeatedly snipped at. Regardless, if you're driving the truck the way you're supposed to you've got nothing to worry about. Tripping those sensors means you're not 'driving like normal on any other planet'. I have a ton of problems with the AI cameras and driver facing cameras, but they are becoming the norm in the industry so we all need to get used to it.

There's good reasons why reputable companies care more about the documentation than the money and why all the 1099 companies care more about you paying for the damage. Having multiple little incidents or consistently popping off critical events is a great indicator that the driver is about to be involved in a serious incident. Documenting them allows for early intervention that can prevent the driver from ending his career, endangering the financial well being of the company, or even someone's life.

You can rent a truck and trailer, costs about $500 a day the last time I looked. The harder thing is to find someplace to practice.

I agree 3 days isn't enough. There's no way I'd sign off on anyone after just 3 days. You needed to be more assertive then and insist on more time on a truck, and you needed to be more assertive about advancing your skills when you were on your own.
