I sure am in Missouri. I live about 80 miles south of St. Louis, in Fredericktown. Just a little bleep on the map.
I am not from here though, I am a transplant from North Carolina, originally from Germany. It looked like a good place to move to.....what was I thinking????
It is nice here, but, no jobs, so I drive a truck.

SSCCRAB,
I will also mention as others have that the DAC is proof only of CMV operating jobs. The reason that companies ask for your recent employment history is to check to see what your work ethics are!
As for credit checks, I have heard that many carriers will check this. Why you may ask? Well one would be to see if you are a good candidate for the lease(fleese) program.
Also, folks with poor credit or credit problems MAY (not always) have the inclination to become thieves. This is not my feelings but what I have heard from employees of many carriers.
It often boils down to this with many carriers. training new drivers and leasing trucks is a cash cow for them. Hence, one of the reasons that CR only hires students. ( Just the facts as I am not against this, for obvious reasons) -
You'd be wrong not to list all your jobs. What if you go to CDL school when you're 40 years old and you have no trucking jobs? Are you going to list nothing? They'd sure want to know what you've been doing or what prison you've been in. Be honest on all your paperwork and answer all the questions truthfully. -
Thanks so much for the reply, guys. As soon as I get my consumer report in the mail, I'll make any adjustments needed in order the keep safe. Do they look at your consumer reports? Also, I spoke to my company and have been informed that no credit checks take place. I do realize many companies do that though.
