I would do the same thing, I wouldn't even hesitate to slam on the brakes.

I was the same way, if I was passing a group of trucks and noticed one of em was trying to get out i'd back off a lil and lelt em out. Because I knew I always appreciated it when someone would let me out when I was in the same position, especially in city traffic. Just wish everyone had the common courtesy but I guess thats to much to ask from the general population these days.

If i was in a Ranger and had a Werner truck behind me i think i would reconsider hitting my brakes. I understand your frustration and yeah you might end his career but chances are you wouldn't live to see it.

Slamming on the brakes is not the best option either. I agree that it might teach a lesson, but you may get taught one in turn when he actually does not/cannot stop, for the reason of being to close, and then all of the sudden there is people hurt and it's a big **** storm.

The world would just be far better off if people would stop trying to outdo one another and see who can be more ignorant.

I just don't get it. One thing my mother taught me about highway driving was to be courteous to the other drivers. I guess my biggest pet peeve is the use of the turn signal. Now, if I seem to be gaining on the vehicle in front of me, I put on my turn signal so that the drivers in the passing lane know what I want to do. They have two choices, either speed up so I can move over or slow down. I hate it when someone puts on their turn signal just as they move into the passing lane. Also, many years ago, I saw a experienced trucker on a talk show. He revealed his pet peeve as those 4-wheelers that pass his truck and immediately pull over right in front of him. He's right!! ARE THEY NUTS?!! If I pass a Semi, I put on my right turn signal and wait for him to flash his lights as my signal that it is safe for me to move over.

Geesh...how hard is it? My son is a trucker and he's always telling me about the crazy stuff 4-wheelers do out there. His biggest fear is hitting one of them. Yes, there are some bad driver truckers out there but I always respect that huge vehicle that can take me out in a heartbeat. Nuff said!!

I would just get spun out. Or get hit then slam the throttle.

What happens what you get spun out sideways roll and then the semi tbones you killing you instantly? Is it worth it just to prove a point? Just speed up a lil and get away from em.

It's very unlikely. But the point is, I told him and he backed off. No one actually slammed their brakes so you are taking issue with a situation that never happened. Why burn the energy on it?
Honestly, I would be far more likely to launch a bolt at his truck or turn on the rearward daylighters and blind the dummy.

Those Canadian drivers are the worst . If I ever pass one that is behind a slower truck I won't complete the pass unless there is someone close enough behind me to keep him from jumping right out as soon as my trailer gets past him . I run dedicated so I'm empty half the time . If I get a tailgater I'll slow down until he has to drop a gear then I run away from him . With their speed limiters he won't be able to get back on my bumper .

As a four-wheeler, I give trucks plenty of room when driving... however I wasn't aware that truckers will "flash in" a four-wheeler. In fact, from what I read here on the boards, many don't even flash in other truckers anymore. <sigh>
