Discovered this in a small mountain community west of Pueblo CO. I don't know what it was all the emblems and markings are missing. Looks like it was well used. There use to be a logging company at that

Howdy chief, oh that will send you screaming into the night. Got to be a mid 50's. 'BTW, remember those old KW's you said you drove. They were auctioned off and are sitting in that truck junkyard north of Penrose on hy. 115.

I knew an old German guy who called them " Brrrrockvay". I believe this is a pre-75, model 361, as they went with the R model cab after that. This still has Brockway's signature windshield, and I read, even though they were owned by Mack, they could not use Macks drivetrain, and had mostly off the shelf parts, and was called "Huskie-Drive". ( note gold Husky hood ornament instead of the silver Bulldog)A truck like this will rattle what teeth you have remaining, but engineered for a different time, and probably the toughest truck on the east coast. All the big heavy haul outfits used Brockways. We never had Brrrockvay's in the midwest, that was Mack country, but once in a while, one from out east would go by. Brockway also made an appearance in the hoaky, yet entertaining movie "Convoy".

Bingo! Looks like a 8V71, 318 hp. You can see "Diesel" on the valve cover, which says "Detroit Diesel" on it. And I 'd recognize that oil cap anywhere. It was the 1st thing you did was add oil. No need to even check the stick,,,and take a couple gallons with you, the boss would say, for when the oil pressure gauge would drop. In order to drive this truck, you 1st have to slam your finger in the door, to get you in the right frame of mind,,
