Somebody did a hell of a job on that one, although I’d personally prefer a more retro steering wheel.

My TXI Concrete ‘72 White has a metalic blue wheel like that. That company’s colors were orange and blue so the exterior was orange and interiors were blue.
Friend of mine has a ‘75 White-Western Star with a mahogony color one with gold and silver glitter in it from factory. The 70’s were cool!

Depends on the year. Cummins gold, then there was a beige which I think started in mid 60s. Then in 72 I remember the 350 being white. Then I think they went back to beige. Then black, red and next will probably be lemon yellow.

I don’t think White had special engine color back in those days for the Freightliner. On a Cummins it would depend on the year model. They used “old gold” from the late ‘40’s up to around ‘68. They started using “beige” sometime in mid 60’s on the 855’s along with the gold. The biege was used up to the BC4 in the early ‘90’s.
In the 90’s Freightliner had a lot of the vendor engines painted a weird burnt brownish/goldish yellow. The Cat in my ‘99 was that color and still has remnents of it. Looks like oil stained or smoke damaged Cat yellow is the best way I can describe it.
White painted their vendor engines Euclid Green from late 60’s to mid ‘70’s.

All the White painted engines were a Paccar thing. ‘65?- up thru the early ‘80’s.
I question mark the ‘65 year because I believe it started with Pete on the first tilt narrow hood 358’s that came out in ‘65.

The original 335 that was in the the ‘67 351 in my avatar was white. It has a 350 in it now that came out of a ‘74 359 and it was white. I repainted it beige in ‘03 and haven’t decided if I should have went back white but it was so hard to keep it looking good. Some days like at truck shows I regret it but others when a wipe down and touch up is easier with the biege I don’t. Lol!

Thinkin back, I remember a fellow with a 66KW /335 and I think it was white. There is a guy over on the JOT site that knows all this stuff, Cummins employee/historian.
