Lord. When I did that as I was on the left coast the last time, you’d have thought I killed someone’s first born. Was told it couldn’t be done. Can’t get you back. Blah, blah, blah.

BTW, they didn’t get me back on time. They dicked me around in WM for an entire day. Guess it’s all in who you know….

You get a confirmation? Hmmm….. I’m surprised that you even have to put in for home time. I know several drivers who don’t do it at all and get home quite a bit. Again, guess it’s all in who you know…….

Sorry. Still feeling a little salty over my lack of miles and the BS run around the last couple of weeks. Enjoy your time off. I know I’m enjoying my extra few days.

Got empty with my organic cannabis potting soil yesterday. Was asked to do a favor and deliver a load from Colton to Bakersfield this morning that apparently someone dropped the ball on. I agreed to.
I made it back to Colton yesterday about 3pm, took my 10, then left out at 3am to beat all the LA traffic. I had an 8am appointment, was ahead of schedule, so I stopped off at the Petro in Wheeler Ridge and grabbed a shower. Sitting at the dock right now getting these 9 coolers unloaded.

Gotta love how RVA office peeps think sometimes. Pick up an HP load going to Chantilly, VA and I was going to drop it in WM to do a 34 being there was way more time on the load than needed and because I gotta go back to the clinic in Wm anyway where I got my DOT physical done being they didn't update to the new forms and my state rejected my medical card due to old forms being used. Get to Navajo AZ at the 325 exit and get a phone call from my DM saying they were setting up a swap in flagstaff since that driver was broke down. Her load was going to Searcy, AR and she needed to get back to Richmond so technically was a perfect swap but found out that she was on the side of the highway and the trailer was broke not her truck. Yeah, RVA wanted me to swap and sit on the side of the road with the broke trailer with an air leak.....Im not swapping til the trailer gets fixed and can swap in a safer place than side of the highway. My DM agrees too and that it is messed up to swap broken equipment.

I just love doing favors. NOT! Got empty with no issues. Decided to drive to the Shell fuel stop on Weedpatch Hwy and get some real authentic Mexican food. Order up a combo plate and homemade spicy salsa, sit down and enjoy my food. I’m eating, and waiting for my load assignment. Nothing. My clock is ticking down and nothing. Finally, at 1pm local, I send a free form message in asking in my most polite tone, are they out of freight for the day or did they forget about me. I get a phone call from who knows who asking me because of my hours, am I doing a reset. In yet another polite tone I told the dude that I have hometime next week, and I’m sure as hell ain’t doing a reset, and if you looked a step further, you’d see I have 7:25 left on my 70, and start picking up 10+ hours at midnight for the next 5 days. An hour later, with 4:20 minutes left on my day, my load assignment comes through. Got load, but not able to fit into the shipper parameters. Its 145 miles to San Bernardino to drop and hook, and because of the high value nature, you need to drive 200 miles before stopping. With 4 hours left on my day, that ain’t happening. Instead of turning the load down, I call in and remind everyone about the high value parameters set in place by the shipper and that I would be picking the load up in the morning. They agreed, So I’ll leave o dark 30 and be in west Memphis Sunday night to drop at the yard and get one to go home. If they haven’t screwed up my last 4 hometimes, I’d be a team player, right now, the only team I’m playing on and for is me and my hometime.

Well, DM told me to keep moving to WM and drop on Sat like originally planned as RVA never got back to her. Still works out anyway as other driver will continue and drop her load in Searcy, AR then bounce to the yard to get this load I got and so she can get back to Richmond. At least other driver agreed the swap was stupid too so no anger there.

    Alright, you Gatorade haulers...o_O

I’m seeing a shortage of it on my store shelves, so somebody needs to step it up a bit.
