We are prepared to transition drivers to Swift Transportation at the same pay package plus a $2,000 transition bonus as outlined in the offer. Timely follow-up will be provided with clear guidance on the next steps. All current load commitments should be safely fulfilled through January 27. Our teams will engage with all customers to discuss the next steps and align on the appropriate path forward for each account.

We recognize that change can bring questions, and we are committed to being transparent and supportive throughout this transition. Leadership will be on site working closely with driver support teams to ensure a smooth integration and to provide clarity on next steps.

People in the office are being talked to one-on-one and being offered a transition to Swift or a severance package. Drivers who want to stay on will be driving for Swift. No more Big Green, it's Big Blue all the way.

The once great Abilene is no more. They slowly bled this company to death and now they want these drivers to work for one of if not the worse MEGA out there. Take the severance and run while can.

You see, God don’t like ugly. My perspective is this. I contributed every week to my 401K the whole time I was there, the last year when I resigned, I contributed extra money per week. When it was time to pay the yearly dividend, they decided not to pay me because I quit on the last day of the year, December 31st 2023. They said I needed to be employed the whole year in order to collect. That’s how they did me. They turned out to be nothing more than thieves. They used my money all year long, made money off it and didn’t give me my dividend because of one day. We aren’t talking a lot, probably $5000. But after all that’s happened to that company, the theft, the infidelities, the lies, whatever had happened and is imminent, I am getting at least $5000 worth of entertainment. I’m thinking of all the people that now will be a Swift employee, not the drivers, but the left over office people and operations people. You should have bailed a while ago. Being run by thieves doesn’t end well.

When I got the phone call the day after I submitted my paper work to transfer my 401K balance of $150K over to my IRA, I got 2 phone calls from various people trying to talk me into leaving it with them. The balls on some people. This is not slander, this is going back to what my 91 year old mom always says, “God don’t like ugly” and these ugly people have been reaping what they sowed the last few years.

They may be under swift, but they’re still run by knight and Kevin Knight, and Company are nothing but a bunch of crooked thieves.. always have been and always will be

Wow… interesting… I’ve been seeing several Green Trucks over the last few weeks and wondered how things have been going… guess I now know.

Sad to see another once good family owned company come to its final end. But seems things were not heading in a good direction for some time.

Was a good place for me to start a new career at coming out of CDL School… glad to have been there… sad to see it finally ending. .. but that path was probably set at the time it sold to a Mega.

To those that opt to make the transition, good luck.

I just saw a post on Reddit about this and came to this thread to see if it had already been mentioned.

If nothing else, at least the drivers will have an actual bathroom and shower to use when they're at the Swift terminals for the night. I remember reading on this thread one time about how the office staff at Abilene locked the doors to the drivers lounge at nighttime, leaving drivers overnighting without access to a bathroom. That really told me everything I needed to know about how Abilene viewed their drivers.

Corporate America really sucks. Especially in the trucking sector. This was posted by the head of payroll at the sewer that use to be called Abilene. The corporate round table could give a #### about people. After all the years she gave that company, this is what she gets.
