I know that they pay you the 140$ for orientation but what do they pay you during your training?? TIA for the answer

Not to bad of company. When I drove for them, They did not have easy pass so I was responsible for all tolls. Just make sure you send in all reciepts so you will get rembursed for them. I ran Northeast regional so it was nothing but tolls. It seemed like they'd forget to pay me back for them. Other than that they were pretty good to me. I liked the fact that they give choice of up to 3 loads to choose from. Far as training I dont know. I went in as an experienced driver. Good Luck

They are owned by Crete. Check Crete's web site for them. Shaffer is the reefer side and they also own Hunt which is their flatbed division. Also check out the Trucker Tom website. He used to drive for Willis Shaw and now runs for Shaffer. He seems to be happy with them. I have not talked to anyone personally about Shaffer but all four of the Crete drivers I recently spoke to seem to be happy. Hope this helps.
