I have a 1990 Kenworth K 100 I’m having issues with the acceleration pedal sticking. My question is can I put an electric acceleration pedal in that truck or should I just pull the one that’s in the truck out clean it up maybe sand blast it grease it and put it back in. what is you guys thought?

Fix what you have. If it is all mechanical linkage going to a cable has some advantages but is a lot more work.

If you've got mechanical linkage it'd be much simpler to fix what you have. Converting from mechanical to electronic is going to be more of a PITA than it's worth by the time you find an actuator for the pedal to control and custom build all the brackets and wiring to fit the actuator onto the pump.

Sticky foot feed, eh? Probably gunk and cow$#ite at the bottom hinge of the pedal. Never cared for electronic throttle, never seemed to have the feel of a manual linkage one. Is it one of those big wide throttle pedals? Always liked those.
tarvarre Thanks this.
