They've finally put a sign out for trucks. 50 mph.

Naturally, trucks just keep on doing 60 for that short stretch.

Almost had one of them HH trailers run in to my tanker.

Half the time if you asked me what was on my BOL? I couldn't tell you. They usually list part #s or some obscure code. Clothing, parts, food. I have a general idea but honestly I couldn't tell you.

I often wonder about the guys that pull Phamacy loads, I hear the security for that is really tight. Electronics too.

Most security hassle I've ever had was actually for cosmetics. 20 pallets of makeup for a new store, the security guy put on their own padlock and a manager took the keys in their own car and met me at the destination.

Unfortunately, there are normally law-abiding people like my wife who might be tempted to hijack a cosmetics load. I wonder how much of the money I give her has gone to cosmetics over the years. Too much, is all I can say for sure.

I got reamed out by a department store because of a faulty door once. (Roll up)

They said for all I knew there might be $6000 worth of jewelry on the highway somewhere.

I don't work there anymore, locking the doors was supposed to be the store manager's responsibility and when I came through at 3 am nobody was around. Night shift said just tie it down, but it kept opening, day shift management read me the riot act. Really didn't see what the correct solution was based on what I was told. Leave both trailers (loaded/returns) and bobtail back?
