I have had 3 accidents and all 3 involved the trailer door coming off. Basically what I am asking is, am I going to be able to get another driving job...

Maybe, but are you sure trucking is for you? Depends on who you were working for and how they will respond to an employment verification request from a potential new employer. In trucking especially, it is imperative you learn from mistakes because if you don't, something bad is bound to happen, involving other lives.
-
Maybe. Try flatbedding , there are not any doors to rip off. But then you will probably just rip the doors of the truck. Second thought maybe not.

I love driving the road. I get what you are saying it makes me seem as if I am not careful or paying attention. I have only been on the road a short term of only 5 months which makes it worse. As for me knowing if its for me or not I am not sure since I was only out there for a short time but the time I was out there I really enjoyed it. But if you know of anything that could help that would greatly appreciated. Thanks

You should try driving a flatbed then you won't have to worry about those doors. What's your deal with hating on doors :smt096

LOL, Hey your not telling me nothing I haven't thought of but to just give it up like that makes me feel as if I quit for no reason. I could see if maybe it was someones life but I just need to know if it happened to anyone else and if they got a job.

Just lie and tell your new apps that it was just 1 door and that crap previous co. must have hit enter 3 times.

I think most people go their whole career and never rip a door off. Maybe try to get a job that have trailers with roll up doors.
-
Roll up doors is a whole other problem. People put the bottom panel through dock plates left sticking out. I have seen plenty of drivers knock doors off it doesn't take much. Especially those fat reefer doors.
With that said first door I saw ripped off I made sure to learn from that drivers mistake. I helped him pick it up because when he knocked it off it was leaning up against my trailer sitting next to him.Big Don Thanks this. -
