In a tractor trailer you need an air ride seat. It's just the way it works. The Lincoln seats will not do what you think that they will do. The ride of the car is a different situation from the ride of the truck.
But you can buy high-end leather comfortable heated lumbar supported air ride seats. That's your best bet.CrappieJunkie Thanks this. -
I’m planning on doing that to my vintage cabover. Only seat in it is driver side, and it’s in poor condition. I can fashion a new bottom to connect up with the base and air ride part. Passenger side I’ll weld me up a small frame of some sort to attach the stationary seat to and bolt it to the floor where there are the holes for it. (It wasn’t included in the original truck due to a Kroger fleet use years ago.
Biggest problem has been finding the seats that I have in mind—not too wide, not too narrow, and a tapered high-back would be nice. And a decent price helps too... -
I have been seeing quite a few sets of seats on craigsList and most prices average between 100 to 200 dollars. And there are some real pricy ones too...Eventually I should run across some that should work for me...

My dad owned an old Pete that had been owned by a kit car manufacturer. The driver stole the seat out of it and replaced with 2 bucket seats from mid 70s Ford LTD. Surprisingly it worked out ok.

There are specifically built truck seating on airride with captians high backs, reclining and arm rests etc.
A airride truck is way superior to your lincoln town car. You will find that a low backed seat will hammer your spine on every bridge in the middle. So it's not recommended. -
Guys, he can mount the Lincoln seat to the base of an air ride seat & have an air ride car seat. A little ingenuity & fabrication can take you a long ways.

Work with a guy who took a seat out of his Denali Yukon and put it in his truck. Bolted it right to the floor. Said he liked it.
Tug Toy Thanks this. -
I've thought of getting a seat the same as my 11 300 limited. Heated cooled and all electric and fab up a mount to mount it to an air ride base?

Bean Jr. Thanks this.
