Quick question… I can’t find info on how to set up controls and schematics for adding on (2) axle lifts for my spread reefer trailer. I found Hendrickson has kits I can weld on, but how are we running control boxes to control them while backing tight maneuvers etc from the cab? I know… shhh. I meant not from the cab Mr DOT… lol!!!
I’m in an 04 379 flattop with a stainless GD spread. No lifts on axles yet so doing install from scratch on truckside pigtails and actual axle lift set ups.
Any videos or walk through/ part numbers would help so I can install controls and plumb her correctly. Thanks!!! IMG_8935.jpeg

If you're just looking to get around easier in tight maneuvers it's alot cheaper and easier with dump valves like Hendrickson vs-24797

I have a spread, both axles are lift and I also have a blast and dump system. It is too much to post here. If your interested, send me a pm and I will give you my phone number.

Usually just an iso plug ran up to the nose/landing gear and back to the box, would recommend having a manual switch on the trailer as well Incase you wind up in a different truck without controls

if the shocks are in the air bags you cannot add a lift axle is what I learned from this new trailer, there is also a bolt on kit that goes through the front control arms,

just the dump valve would work but you are still dragging tires, and a 10-12’ spreads main job is to eat tires….

I wouldn’t know how to plumb that but our whole fleet had in cab dump switches. Very critical for 4 or 5 axle wagons

also had a brake light switch on dash in cab in case we lost our trailer lights;)

Most sliding spreads/shorter wagons are standard 10’ 2”, a lot of those big 53-54’ fixed are 12-13’
