If you insist on salting your food, at least use pink Himalayan, or Celtic salt, throw away that horrible ‘table salt’.

Well, I'll tell you what I told the cashier at Walmart after she looked at what I bought. I said, dear, I'm almost 70 and have been eating this crap all my life. We eat so much salt, it's practically impossible to remove it from our diets completely. As kids, we put salt on potato chips. There's no question that salt does increase the chance of high BP, but so does morning traffic. A wise person once told me. "with all I've been reading about lately, I've decided to do something about it,,,stop reading". Ignorance can be bliss, and I have several instances where someone lived with something for 20 years, found out what it was and didn't make it 6 months. Give me a bag of peppermint patties, and the rest of the world can go to hell.:p
BTW, Chinatown went from recruiter extraordinaire, to health advocate so gradually, we hardly noticed,,,

Pretty much any form of processed food that you eat has enough sodium in it to meet the daily allowable allowance for a WEEK. Per serving. Lol but I mean, come on you eat mashed potatoes and gravy with no salt in it? What good is that?

I guarantee that the person who took away my salt shaker would live a shorter life than I :)
