Everybody has their needs, but free is better than paid, isn't it? Unless you've got to replace your worn out toys every week or something.

 

I've often wondered how those places remain in business with everything being free online these days. Then somebody mentioned the gay angle and it made sense. A couple times over the last few years, I've pulled into a rest area at night to take my 10, and my CB was still on. Guys on the radio were openly soliciting for gay sex on the radio at the rest area. Needless to say, I rarely venture into a rest area any more at night to take my 10.

 

Oh... please... folks say all kinds of silly stuff over the CB.... anywhere, anytime... at a truck stop too...
I remember parking at one big truck parking lot on I-40 NM east of Moriarty... could hear some lady advertising some adult business nearby that area...
I also remember several adult stores with big parking lots on I-44 MO... No idea if they are still there... haven't been trucking in 2 yrs now...
Actually, one time load planner called me to know if I was taking 10 hr break at one of those adult stores in MO.... but I wasn't.... it was another truck.... That company had policy against that....

 

I have watched people do that! I remember watching a driver do that in a rest area in I believe it was Mississippi. He was talking to a cop!
