They also have to be somewhat close, I dont know exact distance but the trucks do not go home with you.

So I have not seen this website before, but it is hilarious that the 3 trucks pictured are all at the Indiana Terminal. Guess my trainer was right saying they have the better trucks and actually take care of them there lol.

The black 6302 driver talks with my trainer every morning, I've only caught a glimpse of the driver for the blue 4311 and he keeps the truck very clean, and the white one with blue fenders I think is 6303 actually is sitting right now as a spare in the Yard waiting for the next breakdown or driver to fire her up.

Truck I am assigned, Ive tried to find out some history about the truck but it's been unassigned for a few years, they did just rebuild her cat engine so it's as they told me the newest engine in the yard. Only thing anyone can remember about the truck itself is it used to have the name "Stir Crazy" on the back of it though nobody knows who put it there or who took it off.

I really enjoy it, Ive driven a few times now but not fully loaded yet, they are making sure I can demonstrate I dont grind the transmission. Was going to wash it inside and out today and clean and organize the trailer but rain happened.

tl;dr Great company if you have experience; I cannot vouch for it's training because my trainer left.

I worked there several years ago. It was my first trucking job out of school. I can vouch for it being an excellent company. I cannot vouch for it's training. My trainer, who left the company shortly after finishing training me, was a 21 year old, third generation trucker. He had a big hot head. He was constantly told me "Ed wants us to [perform a task] this way but he's a ####ing idiot." The trainer wouldn't let me secure the load by myself or drive the entire two weeks of "TrAiNiNg" (sarcasm added). Long story short, I had no idea what I was doing when I was finished with training. Honestly probably shouldn't have been behind the wheel alone after "training" with them--but I was too inexperienced and eager to work to know that.

That being said, the trainer left shortly after training me so this is likely not an issue anymore. Results may vary.

As far as the company itself is concerned, the work is honest, you won't be mislead. The mechanic (and terminal manager assisting him) are excellent at what they do. The truck is going to have something wrong with it almost every week; but, that is simply the nature of a ~25 year old truck. Report what's wrong with it immediately and you'll get a spare the next day while they fix your truck. There was even a time I recall an airbag popped while going through Knoxville from Birmingham (I don't recall my destination, but I was not going directly back to Clarksville, IN). The terminal manager, Ed, was able to coach me on how to secure the line with zip ties and vinyl tape over the phone. They got it fixed properly basically immediately once I returned.

The same company GhostInTheMachine was talking about, Capacity Logistics in Clarksville (or Jeffersonville) Indiana.

"tl;dr" simply means "Too long; didn't read" and its saying that line is a summary of the three paragraphs I wrote, in case anyone didn't want to read all three paragraphs.

I believe it's Clarksville. I had to look it up after seeing this. The mill is in Jeffersonville. upload_2026-10-3_15-51-22.png
