The last year has been not so good for me in the driving world. I've gotten a Following too close, Speeding (15-19), and Failure to obey highway sign. I've never driven otr but those are the only callbacks I'm getting rite now. So, my question is should I go otr until my record gets better which will not be until 2011-2012 or find another job and when my record is better get back into trucking? I've been driving for the last nine years and that's all I know so whatever advice I get (good or bad) I would really appreciate it.
Advice for going otr

Sorry but you'll likely have no chance of any driving job since there a tons of experienced drivers with clean records available. Sounds lik,e you might need to rethink driving anyway.
-
Good grief! Dont ask me for employment. Doesnt sound like you use much of a margin for safety.

It sounds like you already have a driving job and if that is the case which do you think would be better:
1. Keep driving now and let your record get better with time, then
make your move.
2. Quit driving and have a hard time getting any sort of driving job
because you have been out of it for so long
Or did you loose your job because of the tickets you received? -
Have you taking any these tickets to court?or just paid the fines?Have you check your drivers record with your local DMV.I have an spotless record, but Iev also received tickets in the past.I ALWAYS TOOK TO COURT,and ask them to drop it down and pay the fine with NO POINTS.

I was a O/O but lost my contract due to the speeding ticket. Arnold offered me a job so I'm considering taking that but don't know if I should take a break from driving or just go with them to keep experience and move on when my record gets better.

If your smart you'd take any offer you could get with that record. JMO good luck

Trucking is an unforgiving profession and to try to get a job with the tickets and no recent experience would be nearly impossible.
So I would go with them (Arnold) to keep the experience.
Bad things seem to happen in threes, maybe better times are ahead for you. -
You got 1 to many MV's

stay in the game but aslo keep in mind safety
