ok, so I just bought a truck its been 4 years since ive drove in the united states. I have my dot, my ca, and my mc numbers.... but all have expired with in that 4 years of not operating in the u.s..... now I know I have to reinstate them all and pay the fee for that. I also need, apportion plates for California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada , Idaho , Utah ..... I also need ifta, pay the ucr fee, the boc-3 fee... the bic fee... and registration...and insurance. I do all the paper work my self which is fine and I have done it before but i'm confused on where to start! how long does it take for them to give you all this stuff to operate? I know I can pay 50.00 to expidite the time frame but im not sure if it will go any faster I need to be running with in 3 weeks. help plz ..

    Unfortunately my Friend.............

Everything is Slow in trucking.......Getting Paid,Getting your authority reinstated Etc etc...

Yet you are required to be Compliant,Billing, and Service RIGHT NOW

Sorry..But ive been in the game almost 25 years..Today,NOBODY cares....Its True, NOBODY cares about anyone but themselves...

States will do nothing for you buy insist on Money..Law enforcement will do nothing but uphold laws that CAN result in your failure

Brokers/customers will take their sweet time to pay you..(Keep in mind,So Much has changed in transportation.YET we still have billing practices from the 1950's)

Sounds Like a good idea to come back dont it?

Your best off investing your money in a Floral shop making floral arrangements for people,

it took me 10 days from the day i filed to become active,if you do everything right you should be ok in a three week period.start by apllying for your authority asap,if you already got insurance quotes then pick one provider and ask them to file with fmsca.everything else is simple and can be done in one or two days mostly online or by phone.you can do it and dont let anybody else tell you otherwise.
