You want to be compensated for your time. I just linked a driver to a line haul run. Paid for every mile, every minute of his time, home daily and weekends off.
Took me 1 message to fill position.

Canadian or American..the guy only has 1 year of driving exp under his belt. I think that sounds pretty average for me. I'd be all over that with only a year of experience.

These big outfits take forever to hire it seems. Heyl says they're still waiting on previous employment verification while TransX recruiter is just awful. Anybody know what's the average time for these companies to hire after verification, background checks, orientations?

They might be dragging their feet as freight is a bit slow. Don't be surprised by cranky recruiters. They are the ones who lament "same as last week, hired 10 drivers and 11 quit!"

Yeah, I guess so but mine are far from being cranky. Both are nice but slow.

There ya go eh! Stay put. The problem with reefer is customers also consider it their personal portable storage facility. Nothing like showing up with a ice cream drop and customers says "we got no room, come back tomorrow" I was real happy when Scott National closed up and I hope everyone of those lazy worthless SOBs are living under a park bench
