That's like asking what you'll drink when the flooding stops. The normal natural flow is enough.

I thought I read in another thread those rules only apply off of federal interstates. So basically when you leave the hwy for the p/u or delivery.

California wants to be all electric. They have said this time and time again. They are using the Pandemic to sneak in more regulation when the 2020 regs barely went into effect. Feds gave carb to much authority.

And that is why I buy most of my cars in New Hampshire or other states that don’t follow/adopt CA emissions standards-in particular vehicles equipped with 4 cylinder engines with a 2.0 liter displacement or higher,as those are the ones affected (they’re usually derated in horsepower and torque).

Even if you buy your car in NH and register it in NJ it still has to pass NJ emissions, doesn’t it?

Wait til some of these electric trucks catch fire on the shoulder and start huge wildfires out on 14 or the Cajon Pass, then what are they going to do?

Your guess is as good as mine, but all motor vehicles here in the US have federally compliant emissions which should be good for all 50 states. I live in MA but even if I buy the vehicle out of state they don’t go after you unless your vehicle pops a check engine light or something to that extent. California is the only state that more than likely make you get the vehicle derated to pass their smog checks.
