Escrow is $1000 and you don’t get it back. They ‘charge’ the driver for repairs then write them off on taxes. It’s a scam. Foreign owners and staff. Micromanaging brokers, dispatchers, and ‘dispatch helpers’. They have miles, but it’s cheap freight, heavy loads, or long waits to get loaded/unloaded. AGM is a prime example of a company who underbids loads just to keep moving regardless of the overall impact on the industry. Communication is terrible. One broker called me 4 times and texted 8 times within a 4 hour period, just constantly requesting load updates even though the load was being tracked on Macropoint. I finally asked if he wanted the keys to the truck so he can deliver the load himself. (The load: cardboard)
Positive reviews elsewhere are solicited from new drivers or are company employees.

Brokers calling repeatedly? That sounds like TQL, or maybe that other broker that uses the CarrierLink App. Can't remember which one though.

They only charged you 1000 dollars for escrow? Dang, many companies up that way charge double that at least. I'd say you got off easy with your donation. Just remember, if they charge an escrow, always chalk it to the game.

All repairs are tax deductible for whoever owns the equipment. They’ve been in business long enough that I’m pretty sure they take advantage of all write offs.

They’re not supposed to keep escrow for repairs, but they did. An attorney would cost three times as much

The irony of it all is that “J-Town” is always banning trucks from certain areas!!
    I feel for you driver.

Why hire an attorney?small claims court was sit for that very reason you can represent yourself in cases that are under a certain amount of money if you are owed that money.
