Agri-Fresh.....whats the scoop. Im in Regina, sk....says they are looking for company & o/o for long haul out of Regina to Arizona, Cali, occasionally TX and GA. Im presuming there will be inbound stuff to the Loblaw hub....any ideas on the outbound loads? Any experiences with these guys?
They run a nice fleet of KW's but from past experience having a shiny fleet means jack all once you're out there. Ive also heard they expect 30 days out at a time which is absolutely not gonna happen with me, I have kids. Im good with 7-14. Info please and thanks :biggrin_25514:

you WILL be gone 30+days its the real deal long haul the truck is your home...they tell you not a family friendly company.dont bother making doctors/dentist appointments you wont make them. I know a couple o guys who ran with them till they had enough money to buy a house. They are what they tell you ..I was told mostly fair but do your work and just keep rolling and you are left to it

Ok, thanks for the heads up there bud.....well, i guess at least their honest in their assessment of 'long haul'. Soooo....presuming that your gone for extended periods as an O/O, is the money there to justify the lifestyle?
I know these are questions for the recruitment dept but 'unbiased' information helps a lot. Thanks again.

I gave these guys a go a few years ago when they were just switching from Agri-Tel to Agri-Fresh. In my experience I would stay away. They are good at talking, but when it comes time to walk the walk, they are not honest at all.

I don't live in their province, so when I received an interview I had to pay $800 return flight to fly out and see them. Got hired, but never got an reimbursement or suggestion on it. I then had to monkey my own way out to Manitoba for orientation. They set me up in a hotel, but when it was time to checkout, their credit card was declined ... so hours of my time waiting around until it got sorted out.

From then it wasn't orientation as they said, it was now that I was going to go a California run for "training". What? I have 7 years of experience and they want me to go on a training run? Ok, whatever. So off I go and the short of the long is ... I do ALL the driving while the guy I am with sleeps in the back or is playing video game sin the sleeper. The only time he comes out is to smoke like an idiot and hotbox the cab. He was an anger, bitter, stressed out Ukrainian who didn't allow me to even listen to the radio.

During this trip he made a premium as he was being allowed to charge as a "trainer", again I have 7 years experience, not sure why I needed training when I aced my road test when I did my interview. Now here is the kicker ... so I do ALL the work, ALL the driving and they pay me 0.14 mile ... yes, you heard that right! WTF?!?!?

I bring this up when I am in California and the driver manager says he will do something about it, but didn't. So when I get back into Manitoba they say I am ready to go. Orientation is cluster (&^%^ if you know what I mean, but hey, same thing regardless of where you work. So no big deal there ... but as this is going on, they don't even have a truck for me. So the safety manager is outside doing a quick wipe down of this dirty, broken, and beat-up. Turned out the fridge had mold, APU wouldn't work and stop working in the middle of the night, so you freeze your ### off - as they are very adamant about NO IDLING! SO now you can get any sleep, cause you are freezing, but then worry about getting in ####, as you are now idling the truck to stay warm.

So, from my experience I would stay far away from these guys ... I lost a ton of money with them.
