To replace my air filter in my 01 Freightliner the forward air filter do I need to take out all of the screws from that housing?

It should have some flip off steel locks on end of air filter can that when you flip them out the end of can comes off and you can pull the air filter out, then write the mi. on the end of filter can so you know when to change it next time?
