So I drive a roll-off truck and haul scrap metal. Sometimes the containers get loaded heavy on one side. When I had my solid suspension truck it didn't matter much. Now I have this air bag truck and it sucks. This is how the truck looked today. What can be done? I was reading some people use dual leveling valves. Will that help get me level? 20241127_132150.jpg

What kind of scrap steel is it? All small ‘hand tossed’ scrap, or huge hunks of cast/iron? You may be to go up top and rearrange, or you may need to drop the bin back down on the ground and have the customer rearrange.

Tell your employer it's not safe to drive like that and he needs to fix it.

It looks like your leveling valve isn't working OR you could have a broken spring which I am leaning towards (no pun intended). I replace mine every year as I haul 88K everyday all day and those loader men are sometimes not the most gentle.

Install dual leveling valves. RH and LH. Very common for vehicles that are not evenly loaded side to side. Fairly simple upgrade.

I'd go with dual valves. With a single valve all the bags are getting equal pressure. With dual valves you've split the system to left and right. If one side has more weight, the valve on that side will put more pressure to that side to keep everything level.

W923, kemosabi49, NightWind and 2 others Thank this.

This 1984 AT64F Autocar I use to drive years ago had 4 bag air ride with dual leveling valves. Did a decent job of keeping the load level….
