They have about 85 company drivers. Most of them drive almost new Peterbilts. They will put the newbiew in 1999 Internationals. They are governed at about 85 mph. Over 95% of their freight is military. Some of the freight is overdimensional. The drivers that I have met are very happy. Their offer no company benefits and you are responsible for your own taxes (1099). You also need 4 yrs. of verifiable OTR experience to be considered.

If you are considered a 1099 employee driving a company truck, do not work for them. This is illegal and the IRS would love to know about it. -

My husband worked there (until last week) for about five years. He was a company driver there for about two years and then bought a truck and leased it on there. He loved it a lot (as much as you can love a job). He got along well with the people and make a nice living.
Even when he was a company driver, he was 1099, so save your tax money. We hired a really good accountant and have had her for several years that does only truck drivers. She does company drivers and oo. That worked out for us. We didn't save back taxes as much as we should have, so we're going to owe big time this year, but that's our fault.
Anyway, the company had pretty consistant freight that paid well and the office was always really helpful and friendly.
They have somewhere about 100 company trucks that are pretty good. My husband was only one of two oo's at Alan Farmer, and we decided it would be a good move to lease onto a more local carrier to us that hauled a little bit different variety of freight so if military freight went down, we still had work. We could not afford to sit ever...again, our fault for incurring more and more debt personally.
I would strongly suggest having a lot of experience with logs and hauling oversized loads. Not the place to learn, but a very nice living to be made there and lots of good people work there.
I wish you the best of luck in your decision.
