First time here tonight. I’ve been here since 5:45 PM, and I’m still being unloaded at 10:00 PM. 7 products on 26 pallets, 1400 pieces.
Do they normally take this long to offload?

Rugerfan, D.Tibbitt and truckdriver31 Thank this.

I dunno, I was in the truck. Wilson prefers to have us use lumpers. And still, I’m guessing it was only a matter of peeling off a few layers so the pallets fit in the racks.

Some of those places want it broken down the repalletized in an exact way. It can be a lot of work.

I learned this doing some ice cream cone loads.

One pallet on the truck turns into 4 or 5.

 my last load the crane took half my steel beams off set them on ground took off other half set them on ground. 10-15 minutes plus a couple laughs at the guy with the boring job of blowing the air horn everytime the crane picks something up.... 24 hours of a dock id might go steaming mad

Yea but from what you've posted lately, 4 or 5 days to get a load doesn't seem so good.

It’s been so long since I did a food warehouse, I’d forgotten about that. Kinda like Associated Grocers in Tacoma. Depending on the product, they would sometimes have us break down product from a four way pallet onto a smaller one, I think it was 30”x30”, because some of their racking system was ancient.
