Good lesson for new drivers. I was delivering next door. This truck may have missed the gate and decided to turn around in this apartment complex. Knocked all the power out for the entire block in Springfield Mo. The sad part is he had a co driver who could have got out and verified clearance
Always get out and look

2 men and a truck again huh?
Now the whole block is gonna hate truckers for awhile.
Will the Cop assist with compassion and tell the drivers "Everythin'g gonna be alright" and give them a shoulder Rub....
OR Will the Cop be a raging lunatic and Yell at the Top of his lungs at Both Drivers Scolding them like Children WHILE he writes a few Big Tickets?
Lets hear some answer folks. -
It's amazing how many drivers have someone sitting in the jump seat when things go awry. If I'm OW and backing up, I have the wife get out and sight for me. I don't necessarily completely trust her distance measuring so I go slow, giving her plenty of time to make lots of recalculations.

either that, or they will be given a brand new truck....and told not to do anything like that ever again.firemedic2816, x1Heavy, LoSt_AgAiN and 3 others Thank this. -
Why would you pull into an apartment complex like that?
Kids probably everywhere.
I've walked miles and miles over the years reckoning what lies ahead before I F myself.
The ticket from the police, that could include trespassing, is going to be small compared to the bill from the power company, and the sewer, and storm drain replacement when they fail, and the apartment driveways crack and fail from the 40 ton vehicle.dwells40, Farmerbob1, starmac and 3 others Thank this. -
He might have been delivering there. Didn’t plan that good. Should have founder a better spot
But they were lazy and wanted to get as close as possible to door
That’s what happened imoG13Tomcat and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
I doubt 13'6" is standard wire height in apartment complex park lots.
Why would you even TRY that ?
I might have backed into the entrance if it were wide enough to turn around... but not a full pull in and loop out entry.
That'll stick with him awhile.G13Tomcat and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
It might be a city ordinance, or the responsibility of the power company that those power lines be 13’6 or higher. I’m not saying it’s for certain.
