I'm starting to think I was the only one to be hired into a LTL company, as a driver with little to no experience.
I was hired on with my class b CDL with no haz experience. (Did the dock to driver program, skipping the dock part)
I did one year working the city in a straight truck, and since getting my class A, worked the city for two days and since have been running linehaul on a bidded run.
Am I the only one??

I hired on with Central Transport in the mid 80's, with NO LTL experience, and very little driving experience.
The reason I was hired? I passed the drug test, few could.....X-Country, austinmike, the_ick and 4 others Thank this. -

When I came aboard here I had no experience in this job either. Sure I could drive, but my experience up to then consisted of flat, dump, and lowboy work.
This was tough to adapt to, but it paid off eventually.G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
