The local Estes barn has had a "hiring drivers" sign on the fence for a few years now.

    G13Tomcat Thanks this.

I pretty much started working for Coca Cola bulk, with only a few days of actual on the job TT experience...

    It's been a year now...

Though the first 5 months were very hard for me

I'm betting not so much...if he's a "bulk driver" he uses an electric jack to move palletized product in to grocery stores and such. That's EXACTLY how I got my start at age 18 (scary stuff).

How's things in the Buckeye? My new bid started this week (Monday to Friday at 3:00 to 5:00am) and I only get to Hubbard on Mondays.

    AnthonyM757 and G13Tomcat Thank this.

    Nah not really..
Like hook said, I use an electric pallet jack to move stuff around and I don't touch the product at all..

It can be a pain in the rear stuffing 7 pallets into a tiny back rooom... Or having to pick up and restack an entire pallet of 12 packs that fell...

    Pintlehook Thanks this.

Things are awesome here man, thanks for asking. I think we FINALLY have SPRING... and not just in the step, LoL. I've never done ANY p & d personally, but had my OWN trash route with my CDL-B from the 80's on into early 90. Hard arse work, not for me!
I use a hand truck to get groceries up the 1/8 mile drive to the house, LoL!! Guess I'm getting "lazy" or just "less physical" now that I've passed the big five-oh~!
I sure put in my time OTR.... Transport America, USX, and Fedex/Linehaul (gawd i hate teaming!)
Got lucky on my asphalt gig... a competitor actually HAND-DELIVERED a letter to my wife yesterday, wanting to hire me away!
Maybe YOU want the info? It's out of CMH .... LoL~!
1500 to 0500 isn't really bad... I like my vamp shifts, personally!

Pintlehook and Bob Dobalina Thank this.
