Be aware, what the recruiter for AFW will promise you is NOT what you'll get. 2 days off after a run? No, 34 hour reset even if you're out on the road is all the home time you get (used to be 2 days off after 70 hours). Promised routes? No, every driver is now required to drive all 48 States (Refuse and you're fired). AFW is now heavy on outside vendor hauling, not just their own stuff anymore. Added to this is there is horrible (or none) communication between dispatchers and driver managers. You'll get 2-5 different explanations to a question, all contradictory. Many trucks are older with high miles and are filthy. On the positive, you get lots of miles at .43 a mile but be used to being out until your 70 hour clock runs out... which may be nowhere near home.

Just the .43 per mile is not good. Pile on the rest of what you said and they're just about the same as a mega

Sounds to me like they’re trying to mitigate some, in their eyes anyway, high costs of hauling their own freight.

    Lonesome Thanks this.
