Ran into a driver today that had some very nice ratchet binders. They have nice long teeth on the ratchet and the springs were strong. To my amazement they also said MADE IN THE USA on them so I looked them up. Company is called Columbus McKinnon and the ones I've found are about $60 each. Pretty pricey but look like they are very well made. Anyone got these or used them?? I have the durabilit ones now and found out they are only assembled in the US (say CHINA right on them) and they don't have very strong springs as mine have only been used a couple times and they are already needing to be held down to grab the ratcheting gear.

Has anyone ever run lebus brand binders. It is what we have and have always bought. But I don't see anyone talking about them.

We always used lebus ratchets when we were moving drilling rigs, and they held up to some fairly serious abuse as long as you kept them lubes good. We tried dura-bilts and broke three or four and then we tossed them in the scrap pile same thing with most other brands we tried but we've still got most of the Crosby Lebus's around.

Yeah, I have american ASSEMBLED binders, that were made in CHINA...

Don't let some guys fool you, the DURABILT binders are assembled in america, but they have "china" stamped right on them. I asked the salesman at tarpstop about it and he said they have always been that way :(
