Not getting out west is really starting to bug me. Other than that...I still feel this place is light years better for me than crete was. And mile for mile, I've made a LOT more money.

Oh and the APU issue I had...turned out to be, in essence, a software bug in the HVAC controller.

I keep the temp on its lowest setting all the time. This prevented the system from ever reaching temp and going into full HVAC shutdown...it would only go into evap anti ice shutdown, which only kills the compressor, leaving the blower on.

On full HVAC shutdown, there was a time delay before the compressor would restart; on anti ice shutdown, it would attempt to restart the compressor as soon as the evaporator temperature came back up, usually less than a minute, and the compressor would not turn, causing an overload, and popping the breaker. This would happen every second cycle of the compressor, and would eventually wear the breaker out to the point that it could no longer handle the normal operating current of the system, and would pop within 10 seconds of starting the A/C.

A software update was performed, which fixed the lack of time delay on the anti ice shutdown, and I haven't had any problems since.

2300 miles is my shortest week in the last 6 weeks, by a margin of 400 miles. If I said I wasn't loving it here, I'd be lying through my teeth.

Welcome to the wonderful world of getting paid for your time. Now to figure out how to make an antenna work on the T680..

Our new ones don't have the spot mirror on the passenger door installed, a couple drivers have been using that location to mount antennas. Next time I see one on the yard or somewhere else I'll ask them how it works.

So, they heavily advertise that their drivers average $70k.

At six months in, my YTD gross on my statement showed over $35k. I'd call that making good. And my first couple of months weren't as good as my last three.

I haven't done anything with it, really. Have had bigger issues to worry about at home.

I do think most of my problem with range revolves around the noise injected by the Qualcomm system when it's running. Plugging something into the USB port on the side of the display unit helps with, but does not eliminate, the noise.

We are switching to Peoplenet in december. When they install the new system, I will be requesting proper grounding of the system's components, and antenna mounted outside the truck. (Presently the Qualcomm antenna is inside, in the upper bunk storage cubby on the passenger side.)
