I took a few loads from PURINA. They were drop and hooks, and always very heavy. I never had one overweight. But I do know of a few drivers who were paying IDLE TIME back to MAY in the summer months, which is crazy. PURINA is a good example. Run a guy from Aurora, CO to Dallas, but the load has 4 days on it, so youre sitting in Dallas for two days and having to idle cos you cant drop or delv early. And then youre paying MAY while you sit cos its so unbearably hot that you have to idle. Or, older batteries don't hold a charge as well and need to be replaced, but a lot of times MAY wouldnt replace them. Guys would have to idle all the time to keep their fridges running, and then pay MAY to do it. WTF.

If you message to the company and tell they why you are going over on idle time, they will not charge back to you. I was a company driver for 6 months before going to a lease purchase.

I've never had to pay for over idle. They actually pay me back because I stay under more often than not. I've never had a negative experience with any of the office personnel, and my driver manager and anyone that has taken over for weekends or nights has been nothing but helpful. When I was on western 11, nobody gave me any grief about coming home every 2 weeks.

The people in my terminal know that I am buying my own truck and going to pull for TLI after December, and they haven't shown any signs of pettiness or bitterness. They are still keeping me rolling nonstop.

Did someone here actually refer Watkins, TransAm & Interstate as better alternatives than May? LOL
