One of the last SPD/first SPD 2.0 trucks. They were far enough along in the ordering process that they could only change the color. Those actually have the x15 Cummins and some even had 13 speed manuals. We have one on our wing crew and it sucks. She has a bigger motor and 70 gallons less fuel than anyone else so we have to stop more often.Trucker61016 Thanks this.

I saw one just like that this week.Trucker61016 Thanks this.

yeah but why is E.W. Wylie slapped on the side?
-
Because they own the company. SPD was assimilated into Wylie/TFI a few years ago.hope not dumb twucker and navypoppop Thank this.
-
Not quite right. Both companies are owned by TFI. Wylie took about 180 of our 230 trucks leaving only the specelized divisions and teams at SPD. Ew Wylie is our managing company I guess you could say. We still have our own management but they report to the top management at Wylie. Most of the backend office work is done at Wylie.mitrucker, Bumper and navypoppop Thank this.

Only took 2 days before I want to smash this stupid Platform Science tablet. They waited until 1300 on Friday to send me 2 loads. (My PTA was 0800) 1st load was ready on Thursday(not sure why they waited until Friday afternoon to send it to me), deadhead to Savannah and pick up a load back to Lake Park, GA for an anytime drop. 2nd load, deadhead back up to Port Wentworth and pick up a load to Harrisonville, MO that can deliver anytime before Monday night. On the second load is where issues appeared. My 1st stop on the load was my fuel stop, the 2nd stop was my shipper. However, the fuel stop had a task meant for checking in at the shipper, and wouldn't allow you to clear it so you could complete the stop...WTF, I have to show checking in at the shipper while I am at another location? It had an option for not performing the task, but then you have to give a reason why. So instead of a 'streamlined' fuel stop, I now have to go thru the b.s. of clearing that out before proceeding to complete my fueling. Then, I get to the shipper, and no task is there with the instructions on how to proceed with the automated check in (which involves scanning a QR code at the gate, that sends you to a sign in screen, then sms's you another QR code on your phone that you scan to open the gate...but those were on my fuel stop tasks, instead of the shipper's tasks). I get checked in, get my loaded trailer and leave. I get all the way to Jackson, GA and call it a night. Do my post trip, go off duty and make a quick trip to the restroom before I heat up dinner. Needless to say, my A.D.D. kicked in and I neglected to switch to sleeper birth before going to bed. Now here is where this system is more screwed up than Peoplenet. There is no way to "add" a duty status...as in, show my 15 minutes of off duty, then add a sleeper duty status change. The only thing you can do is change the whole time after my on duty post trip time to all sleeper. The online Peoplenet portal would allow you to add the change to sleeper at the appropriate time. So now, mistake corrections by the driver are pretty much impossible. Now, when I am planning to leave at 4 in the morning, I can't approve yesterdays incorrect log until I call the log department and have them fix it. (They sent out multiple messages last week about making sure you are in the correct status when on line 1 or 2, so I can't approve it if I want to be a good little trained monkey and put myself in the correct status) I ####ing hate Platform Science...it has me seriously considering moving on, this system is a serious backtrack in technology that management was conned into believing was a more streamlined efficient system instead of this chaotic hodgepodge nightmare of extra steps to accomplish what Peoplenet would do in 1 or 2. We may as well regress back to the old hard wired green screen Qualcomm brick from decades ago, I think that was more streamlined than this bull ####. Or better yet, ditch the whole in-cab dispatch system and go back to hunting a pay phone and use a notepad so I can be verbally dispatched, that would be more streamlined than this ####.

hope not dumb twucker, motocross25 and navypoppop Thank this. -
Skip to the 3 min mark and she'll show you how to split a log entry.
Remember that it won't let you edit the current duty status, so you'll need to change status first.Last edited: Aug 9, 2026
Bud A., kylefitzy and hope not dumb twucker Thank this. -
the video you posted is about merging onto a highway and it's 31 seconds long. Must be one of your refresher courses for your driver training to get your license back

Don't know why that keeps autocorrecting when I link videos. I fixed it.Bumper Thanks this.
