    Oops.

Next week on TTR: "I only had one accident..."

    From the article:
To date, the Bugatti Chiron is the only production car that has confidently been driven above 300 mph after hitting 304.77 mph on a Volkswagen test track in Germany. However, Bugatti only ran the Chiron in one direction, which doesn't account for wind, elevation and other environmental factors.

The Ehra-Lessien test track is an oval, of sorts. One straight is... straight. It's about 8 km long. The other straight is a huge curve, squished in against the straight one. The banked curves at each end are about 1.5 km around, for a total of ~20 km.

I built a road there for VW when the Veyron was undergoing its top-speed testing.

I have a passion to search out the odd, unique, and obscure; purely as a hobby - been at it since 1983.
I recently posted to E-Bay a 1969 Volvo P-1800S barn find, and it was purchased by a Gentleman from Hungary. Wow.
He handled end to end shipment details - hotshot to Miami,Container to Holland, ship to Prauge, then to Budapest, and on to his home. Said he was looking for one for 15 years. this Volvo had an early 6 digit V.I.N.
You/(us) old timers will remember a james bond like character called "The Saint" - His type of car.
Jay Leno has the original from the series.

The late Sir Roger Moore used the car in “The Saint”. The late Irv Gordon ran his over 1 million miles(possibly more) until his untimely death.

I watch "MotorTrend" channel on Dish Satellite. Can sit and watch for hours. Different shops on there from across the USA rebuild barn finds and other cars people want to restore. The people are more artists than anything else.
This guy is really interesting: Some people that bring old cars to him want power steering, air conditioning and disc brakes added, which to him is a simple task.
