Does that mean they do not have life? they do not feel pain? they do not have feelings? not agree with this, sorry.
In old time, they were using the cattle for milk and farming purpose. As time changed the cruelty came out.

I've wanted to do that a few times. And it's perfectly legal. It's not abuse to put down an unwanted animal with a 38 to the head, but this woman being stupid and trying to tire it out with her pick up at a walking speed so she can load it is abuse?

I disagree 100%. It was pure stupidity. That horse was sliding while being dragged. There is NO way they'd be able to stop that truck on ice quick enough. That's got broken leg written all over it.

Horses hate backing up. Just keep forcing them backwards. Or us food. Horses always respond to food.

I would hate to have the person who calls this abuse see you shoot "a poor innocent horse that didn't do anything," I gaurantee you that's what it would be called and you would end up in court over that too.

That would be how I would try loading it, bucket of sweet feed let him get a taste and then try leading him in the trailer, I'm guessing that was tried first.

I don't they did a #### thing, tied him and drove off for a drag.

I get angry. It will be a while before I cool off on this one. Usually it does not bother too much but that one does. Maybe I shoot owner for being stubborn.

I don't see the sliding to be a big deal. I've had them slide similar to that when loading on rubber mats. My thinking is if they slide on a high friction surface like a dry rubber mat when being loaded by hand, sliding on what is most likely a snow covered gravel drive isn't evidence of placing the animal at high risk of injury.

Again, I am not saying this is ideal and perfectly fine. Im saying as a person that has spent hours trying to get an obstinate sob in a trailer I can see how the frustration could build to trying something like this.

The 5 second video clip provides no background. Not even a location or time stamp. For all were know she is returning from a trail ride and trying to get the animal loaded up by herself and losing daylight. Frustration can easily lead to a poor decision making process.

It sure did cost me a boat load of money when some goody two shoes called spac on me, who then showed up with animal control and the spac "specialist vet" with a warrant in hand.

They charged me with over a dozen counts of abuse and neglect all based on their "expert" opinion my horses were starving because you could see the outline of their ribs. My horses are thoroughbreds, not some farm pony horse.

Anyone that's spent a day around a thoroughbred will tell you that if you can't make out the ribs they are either pregnant or dangerously obese. So i had to get several thoroughbred vets to come rebuke the "experts" that have never spent a single day around the breed. That's the type of stupid you got to fight when animal rights nazis get their panties twisted.
