My wife and I just came through there a couple of days ago on Mother’s Day. I’m seeing more and more truck drivers on their phones and wandering all over the road due to distracted driving. We almost got hit by a foreigner yesterday on I-81 in New York. I blew my horn and he blew his back at me. I wasn’t wandering all over the road, He was! I look for laws to get tougher on distracted driving soon and I’ll sure be one to support it!!

I remember, recently, two truckers rearended traffic, killing people. Their phones showed they were watching porn movies.
Another one, after those two, was updating his information on a dating website.

Think the worst I’ve seen personally, guy had a phone or small iPad thing attached to the center of his steering wheel. Modern trucks have that larger center area for air bag I guess, and his phone or iPad was either taped or velcroed to it.
I figured the driver was doing something because of the weaving across the line….

That’s a regular deal by the immigrants, across I-70. Also, they’ll have their phone or tablet just lying on top of the gauge cluster. Or, they’ll have a phone holder clamped to the A-pillar grab handle, with their phone playing whatever. I travel I-70 a lot, in the dark, and see them watching movies.
