I think the whole thing is sheer stupidity and frankly I’m sick of these places that are getting to be so anti-truck they don’t want trucks while they don’t want trucks around they need to stop buying goods...Without trucks they wouldn’t have a darn thing

If you read the statute that I posted and underlined the relevant part, trucks are still going to be able to deliver in that area if they don't have obnoxious, unnecessary exhausts. Stop being snowflakes.

I’m just waiting for a Swift truck to go barreling thru that town because of that ordinance!

The engine brake on my truck is quiet, so I ignore those signs and use it anyway.

The whole cesspool of NJ can kiss my ###.

Mine is muffled by factory exhaust and it's still pretty obnoxious if you ask me. Some of the locals around here have been complaining about our trucks, which are all muffled with stock exhaust. And we do try to be respectful of the locals, but there's a few hills here so.....

But, I stay out of Jersey.

Well it's probably the same thing as the Quarry in my town.

First there's nothing there. So the township is thrilled when a big company is going to come in and pay taxes and open up a quarry.

Then the Quarry and trucks supply all of the Stone and blacktop so that the entire town can be developed.

Then a brilliant developer buys the ground surrounding the Quarry.

Then he goes to his buddy in the permit office and a little of this happens at a little of that happens and some green gets into some pockets and now the township is excited we have more homes more taxes more people it's great!

Then the Quarry sends out all the trucks with the stone and black top and they develop all the homes.

Then all the sudden the township says you know that quarry is really not a great thing and all of those trucks oh this is terrible...
