Another 'Super-Trucker' who left the 'safe-harbor' of the truck stop, in a raging snowstorm, aka, 'blizzard', and the video of his wreck an hour later. This is pathetic...

Amazing how he dances around the responsibility of control of his truck, choosing to blame 'zero visibility' at 30 mph (down from 50-60mph a bit earlier) for his inability to avoid an accident.

This is a good video for Newbies out there, who can't decide if they should 'be on time' with their load, or 'go for it'.

No matter what, YOU are responsible for CONTROL of that truck! YOU!!! Being mature and making the best choices is what it takes for survival. Make enough wrong choices and survival can be compromised.

If you can't make a good 'common sense' judgment call of whether to drive in the blizzard or not, maybe consider these points:
1) Do you want to wreck your truck?
2) Do you want to possible kill yourself, or others?
3) Does your Boss want the financial hardship if you wreck? (it's no,,,)
4) Does the Shipper want his PRODUCT 'trashed', because you wrecked? (no,,,)
5) Does the Receiver want the Product he NEEDS to run his business, delayed by more time dealing with a wreck, or possibly destroyed? (uhh no)
6) Do you want Bubba and me makin' fun of your unintelligent arse on the CB?

I'm so sick and tired of these 'super-truckers' who can't make a decent choice.

It's a good thing we 'got proof' of unintelligent life' on this planet. Thank you YouTube and the video camera.

and i love how he's so non chalant about it like no big deal. unless he's an O/O or something i dont know, even then. i get all bugged out about the smallest crap i cant imagine crashing a truck. but then he (fill in the blank) rigged up his stupid mirror and was all excited about it. how about you start focusing on driving and not how to rig crap up.

so much for the guy in the video, i'm not going to say he was stupid for driving in that, cause it didn't look that bad, it looked better then what i experience. and the wreck is understandable from how "HE" explained it. i mean if he WAS doing 30mph in 0 visibility, then i could understand how he ran up on two trucks, and it seems to hold true.

i mean snow is white, both vans were white, excluding the red that England has on the side of their trailers. and if you look at the damage to the trucks, it's not really all that bad.

if he went for brakes and slide (what's the distance for 0 visibility?)100ft, then i think he chose the better of the three choices he had,
1- being run off the road, and possibly flip/roll his rig.
2- rung smack into the back of another trailer, now we have cargo and structural damage.
3- put a little spit on it and wedge that baby in there, she'll fit, always does.

i mean what would you have done? lets say you're poking along at 30mph, and can bearly see 100ft down the road, and then you spot two trailers ahead of you blocking the two outside travel lanes, but the center "APPEARS" to be clear, kinda a tight fit. you step on the foot peddle and your ABS as always never works when it's needed most, you feel your load push your tandems side ways........how would you handle the situation?

but in the end he's still the last page in my book of life i'd want to read. guys with tongue piercings rank right there next to guys with tatts on their lower back.

Sorry but if I have 0 visibility I sure am not going to be doing 30MPH. MY rig will craw until I can get off into a safe place to park. No reason for me to drive if I cannot see.

So my latest adventure er.... I mean trip was heavy snow, then snow packed icy roads to wet then to pure wet ice. Cold ice is good, wet ice is not good.

Truck was slippin' and slidin' all over the place. Saw a bus in the ditch and a cattle trailer do a complete 180 without even getting the trailer out of line with the tractor.

Never stopped and never got into a jackpot either. You CAN drive in crappy weather.

Why,Why,Why!!! Man these"Super Truckers"gotta quit letting the #### dispatchers drive the truck from his/her desk or from the comfort of their Lazyboy..
If he had stayed put for 24-36 hrs,he would've been good to go..

This guy is a real piece of work. Driving with a camcorder in his hand, too bad the cops didnt know he was recording. Hopefully his trucking company got wind of this video and fired his retarded ###.
