Detective from Baytown, TX just called because he found a bunch of stolen trucks and trailers in a storage lot. He was there looking for a stolen trailer and came across so much more.

His internet search led him to me since he only saw two orange Peterbilts stolen. It’s clearly not mine but he says that it came back as a 2021.

just the lights and horns on top look very old imo.
Just curious if anyone has any idea of its age.

I already know that mine was repainted and is running around and met who I believe is one of the people involved in stealing my truck. I passed along his information to the detective who told me the guy lives 30 miles away from him.

Here’s a picture he sent me and he will update me once they unload the stolen trailer.

I have no clue, but I gotta be honest, I was expecting to see a picture of a truck.... like the whole thing in one piece, not totally dismantled and stored rather nicely in a trailer. Holy crap, how much time does that take??

He just texted me that he found the owner of the white one in the nose of the trailer.

If they just looked up the last 6 of the VIN it could give the wrong year. My '89 has the same last 6 as another truck built after 2000

Hard to tell from the pics but I would guess it's late 80s or early 90s

At least an 05 and later because you can tell it had cab mounted mirrors. The lights look like the normal factory bullet lights.

You can see the tab for the mirror bracket and you can tell by the door frame it’s 2005 and later. The ones with door mounted mirrors had a different frame plus the gasket for the wing window.
