I dont see a company name....whats the company?
-
Nevermind, I am an idiot!
-
No, you're not!! LOL It's hard to see at first:
-
I've wondered about this company too. Considering their ads claim to pay hub miles, I'm quite interested!
-
I talked to them. sounded good to me. I would probably have applied but they are otr only and I don't want to do 8 to 12 days out at a time like they state. But that's me so if you are an otr driver they seem like they would be worth checking into

I called this company today seeking employment. Dry van only. They pay by the hub miles. Starting pay is .43 BUT .20 of that is per diem pay. NO layover pay. NO detention pay. They run 47 states. I didn't ask what the one state they didn't run. You have to drive a minimum of 2000 miles a week. Paid weekly. Orientation is 2-4 days at 12.50 a hour plus hotel. Leaving the terminal in grand prairie, you get to choose your load. Otherwise its forced dispatch. They pay for lumper fees and scales. You can pay for tolls and get reimbursed or get a advance for tolls. Your allowed once a week for the streakin beacon, paid by the company account. Cell phone reimbursement up to fifty dollars(i think a month). You can install a inverter in the truck but has to be done by the company at no cost. Same with a refridgerator.
If I think of anything else. I will add it.prairiedogjon, JimBob24 and Everett Thank this. -
did i read that right????? 20 cents per diem?????
-
im lost what does 20 cents per diem mean is that a good thing or bad thing?
-
I'm new to per diem pay too...our company (Marten) just started a program earlier this year. They set per diem at 11 cents per mile, but to get into the program, you have to give up 2 cents per mile of your gross pay. I didn't sign up for it because I don't think it's worth sacrificing that 2 cents plus not being able to apply the standard meal deduction at tax time.
20 cents per mile does sound very nice...that plus maxing out on your 401K (if Poly offers that) would probably take you way, way down to a very low tax bracket!
