Hi. As the title suggests I am looking for a list of Canadian companies that hire and train with the downside of a term contract. I've only managed to find Grace so far.
If there is already a thread for this please direct me to it. I was unable to find one. Thanks!
Any list of Canadian companies hiring and training for AZ?

Unfortunately not many are hiring newbies , even the mega’s want 1 year experience. As my company is calling it we’re in a freight recession right now . a lot of companies are extremely slow, try Bison not the greatest but if they will hire you it gets your foot in the door at least
zakman and Albertaflatbed Thank this. -
Kijiji might have a one off company that might give you a chance. Most on their seem desperate to get a seat filled bevausd they have trucks sitting.
zakman Thanks this. -
Thanks for all the replies guys. I will take your suggestions <3

It's gonna take some time to get your foot in the door, especially with it being winter and slow.
But don't give up, it took me nearly 3 years to get anything after I got my AZ.zakman Thanks this. -

Is this an issue in all of North America or specific to Canada? How about western Canada?

the Canada trucking industry is a lot smaller compared to America and we have a lot less mega carriers this side of the boarder who are willing to take on a new driver . Bison and challenger are the only ones i can think of now that schneider national has left the country. it sucks right now for anyone trying to get a start in trucking with companies not hiring do to really low freight volumes and a lot of companies going bankrupt both sides of the boarderLast edited: Dec 8, 2024
