Any LTL companies that would train wife and I together in same truck?

We're from the Sacramento area and both have our CDLs with no experience. I don't wanna be forced to go with covenant or Schneider because they are the only 2 I know of that would train us in the same truck.

Most companies take one trainee per truck. You really only want 2 people in the truck anyway.

It's only for a few weeks. Plus it insurers more and probably better training time.

Trucking is about being flexible. If you are going to be rigid from day one. You might not do well in the industry. But if you both can suck it up and take the bad with the good. You'll succeed. Or at the very least. Have a better chance of success.

I would, normally, never advocate for them, but in this case...

CR England has a 3 bunk truck... or did when this video was taken in 2019.

I would say get your experience maybe local for a year or so, and apply for an OTR gig with an LTL carrier like averitt, or R+L.

I can say Estes and Old Dominion wouldn't train you as a team. I know OD would hire you both separately four the apprentice program and you could eventually team together. Ltl carriers aren't a fan of training new teams. If you just have to team together, find a good otr job and ride it out for a year.

    Strongly consider FFE in Stockton.
You go with a male trainer and your girlfriend go with a female trainer. After that, you team together.

Covenant teams get some really good miles. Give it some more consideration.
