Hey guys. Any Maverick drivers on here near Knoxville TN? Wondering how Mavericks freight lane through Knoxville is and how easy it will be to get home on the weekends in my area. I’m in Knoxville right off of I-40/I-75. I see a lot of TMC trucks through here but haven’t seen many Maverick trucks. Trying to make a decision between these two companies for now. Thanks!

Well upon further research, they have a yard in Church Hill, TN and in Laurinburg, NC. Looking at the territories they run, and the hiring area, I'd say it's a safe bet that you could get home quite a few weekends. If you're a flatbed driver living in Tennessee, working for an established flatbed carrier, I would say it's easy to get home. It's flatbed freight all over the south, and you ain't far from Alabama, where there seems to be the most. Flatbedders have a pretty steady schedule, M-F, 8-5 lol, with very few exceptions. On a second thought, unrelated, so many drivers want to settle into routines, and I never understand why they don't do flatbed. That's the most steady schedule of trucking in my mind.

The Church Hill yard primarily serves their glass hauling account, AGC I think it is. Although I’m sure they run some other drivers out of there as well

Fraley & Schilling runs flatbeds and has a terminal in Knoxville with frequent home time from what I’ve heard. They also train which I presume you are looking for

When I was pulling flatbed with Western and Builders Transportation, we use to get those aluminum coils in Alcoa. Builders will get you home on weekends for sure

That's news to me!!! I noticed they change their trucks. One driver told me they went to Daseke and that forced them to change trailers and tarps. The old BTC tarps were very light and manageable
