Are they not both simply derivatives of the Prime ‘system ‘ of operations?

I'm a company driver on the regional side. Somewhat aware of the lease program, though not expert. I could possibly put you in touch with guys leasing through them also.

While Prime and Jim Palmer/Wilson Logistics have virtually identical training programs for the new cdl school, they're separate entities.

Wilson Logistics CONTRACTS with Prime on the 48 state refer side. Carrying Prime loads.

The regional side, where I work, is all dry van, western US. Not affiliated with Prime in any way.

On the JP 5 yr lease you own it at the end if you stick it out. JP also has a 5 year longevity bonus of $10k. So you can finish the lease with a truck you know well, and get $10k plus whatever is in your maintenance acct.

Payments ain't cheap. 1300 per week. Insurance included. But if you want to run, are wise with fuel, they have some good paying accounts.

I am curious do you have many appointments between 2000 and 0600 running for them. I'm just asking because I run flatbed curtianside and I am always shut down between those hours

$1300 is for all the fixed costs so truck, ins, permits, etc. The truck payment is $995 a week so if you run the full five years plus the $2500 balloon payment you will have to pay $261,200 for the truck. Which is still high considering a new Pete 579 or freightliner cascadia start around the $150,000 area. So your paying over 100k to not finance through traditional sources and have the convenience of being able to walk away from it without being tied to the continuing truck payment. I would have to think hard about that one.

Yeah but think about that big 10k longevity bonus you get if you complete the 5 year lease ;-)

Intothesunset, faux_maestro and Schoob Thank this.
