Any single truck operations keep a spare truck around?

    Yes, IF the state you are registered in will allow you to temporarily "non-op" the unit.

    You would need to be able to document it for the insurance carrier, but you could then delete liability and only cover the phys dam........unless it's a leased unit.

    If leased, the lessor get's added to the liability as a Additional Insured - Lessor, so can't imagine they'd approve.

    I've thought about the same year same style truck, but even decent W9's aren't near as cheap as an old FLD or T800. Guess best thing to do is make a few phone calls, looks like a lot depends on what state you are in. Plus keeping the wife from killing me if I show up with another truck
