Anyone know how TAG logistics corporation in Alberta, are they any good they contacted me, offering me full training, unfortunately 24 years of driving artics class 1 in uk and in Europeean runs (YES RH SIDE) means nothing

The company they said I have to go through wants to meet me in Heathrow to arrange Visa stuff but not sure if I can afford the cost of that on top of everything else, so for that reason I might be restricted,
Training wise it is unfortunate but heyho, we had a class1 driver who came from one the countries in new EU, said to me he got his class one by filling up some course papers in a a4 folder classroom based no practical at all and even then he copied someone anyway, goes to show eventhough I went through training after training it means nothing and then some people do no training and cheat and still end up in the same point
There are a couple carriers that import EU drivers, but they are rare.
Regarding the training. I met an UK driver, a couple years back.
Out of orientation, he was asked to relocate
an empty 53ft reefer from the company yard to a customer yard,
5 miles down the road, in Winnipeg.
Half an hour later, I was asked to do the same thing.
Arrived near the customer yard, I couldn't help but notice the English gentlemen.
While making a tight right hand turn, he took a light pole with the trailer.
The light pole was hanging at a perfect 45 degrees.
No serious damage to anything else, except the trailer and the pole.
The city crew just arrived and they were scratching their heads.
Any hit in the first 90 days (probation) is an automatic dismissal.
I felt bad for the English driver. Yeah, a training is needed.
Don't fret too much about more training.
If you'll come to Alberta, you'll find some verry skilled drivers around here.
Due to the Rocky Mountains proximity. You do the mountains, you learn to survive.

If I were you, I would find out which province I want to live first.
There are major differences between them. Climate and political wise.
Most of them are incompatible with my views and I reject them outright.
The only one I like is Alberta. Calgary to be more specific.

But, if you decide to do it differently, go for it.

Once done, look on JOB BANK Canada and other sites
for job postings that do not require Canadian residency and call them directly.
