Why would you cheat.

HOS is adequate. Has been for decades. Probably longer than you were alive maybe. Longer than me even.

It was known as early as 1938 that the trucking industry will generate around 60 to 70 hours of labor per week for truckmen and especially because it will be twice any other existing industry hourly and overtime limitations on total weekly work hours and pay, the entire trucking industry was made overtime exempt.

If you are going to work twice the hours of a typical two job burger assembler why would you want to cheat something designed to get you to stop a #### minute and get some rest before you cheat it and kill someone.

 

Here's a little trick you can use. Try parking for 34 hours and see what happens.

 

Well, with the new Personal Conveyance amendment, you may not have to "cheat."
